The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has requested the Presidency, the Federal Judicial Commission, and other Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to submit their anti-corruption strategies to combat contract abuse.  

In letters addressed to key officials including the Chief of Staff to the President and the Chairman of the National Assembly Commission, the EFCC emphasized the importance of President Bola Tinubu's anti-corruption agenda and the recently launched Fraud Risk Assessment Prevention and Control Project for MDAs.

According to the EFCC, the project aims to evaluate existing anti-corruption measures, identify vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to mitigate corruption and financial crimes within MDAs.

A source within the agency revealed that the directive was previously hinted at during a public engagement event in January, signaling a proactive approach to combat corruption.
