Tragedy struck the Nigerian Police Force on Monday, June 3rd, with the sudden death of Deputy Commissioner Abubakar Mohammed Guri. He reportedly collapsed at his desk at the office of COMPOL MOPOL, Force Headquarters, Abuja. He was rushed to the on-site clinic, and efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

The cause of DCP Guri's death remains unclear as he reportedly appeared healthy and interacted with colleagues upon arriving for duty. However, an anonymous source speculated that the demanding work schedule, with officers working long hours, including nights, might have contributed to his sudden collapse and death.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has yet to comment on the incident.
