Court Remands Ex-CBN Governor Emefiele In Kuje Prison

After hearing arguments on Emefiele's bail application, Justice Muazu adjourned the case until November 22 to rule on the bail application and November 28 to begin the trial.

A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Maitama, Abuja, has ordered the incarceration of former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Godwin Emefiele in Kuje Correctional Facility pending the outcome of his bail application.

Following Emefiele's arraignment and his plea of not guilty to a six-count amended charge brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Justice Hamza Muazu issued the order on Friday.
