Court Grants Cubana Chief Priest N10 Million Bail for Naira Abuse

The Federal High Court in Lagos State, on Wednesday, approved a N10m bail with two sureties in like sum for businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest.

During his trial, the celebrity bar man pleaded not guilty to tampering with and abusing the naira.

Cubana Chief Priest appeared before Justice Kehinde Ogundare facing three charges related to the abuse of naira, allegedly spraying and tampering with the nation’s currency at a social event, which goes against the Central Bank Act of 2007.

Allegedly, he sprayed the naira at Eko Hotel on February 13, 2024. It was also reported that Cubana Chief Priest committed the offenses while dancing at a social event.

He was accused of tampering with funds in the denomination of N500 notes issued by the CBN by spraying them for two hours.
