The spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command was unavailable for immediate comments regarding this incident. However, the Acting Secretary to the District Head of the affected community, Samson Markus, confirmed the harrowing details to the press.

Mr. Markus recounted how the bandits descended upon their community during the night of Tuesday, launching a violent attack that claimed the lives of six people, including two children.

He described the initial confusion as they mistook the gunshots for military activity. Unfortunately, the military's arrival came after the bandits had already inflicted their deadly toll. Their abrupt departure was prompted by the sight of the military, leaving behind a traumatized and grieving community.

In a tone of deep sorrow, Mr. Markus expressed the unfortunate reality that such tragic incidents continue to occur in their villages, despite their hopes for a return to normalcy. He earnestly appealed to both the government and the military to intensify their efforts in combating these terrorists who invade their villages, bringing death and suffering to innocent people.

This attack comes in the wake of another assault just five days ago in a neighboring community in Kaura, where bandits killed a mother and abducted her children, further underscoring the pressing need for enhanced security measures in the region.
