An artisan, Bada Oladapo, was remanded by the Ile-Ife Magistrate's Court in Osun for allegedly stealing a phone from a student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, by sneaking into the residential hall.
Inspector Sunday Osanyintuyi, the Police Prosecutor, told the court that the defendant committed the crime on December 23 at approximately 4:06 a.m. at Fajuyi Hall of the OAU Campus in Ile-Ife.
According to Osanyintuyi, the defendant entered the residential hall illegally with the intention of committing a felony.
Osayintuyi said the suspect took a Tecno A4 blue Android phone that was worth N35,000 and N15,000 in cash from Andulsalam Abdulfatai, a student.
