A viral video circulating on social media has revealed a 60-year-old man, identified as Mr. Kenneth, being tortured to death by unidentified men due to a property dispute in Nza Ozubulu, Anambra State.

According to a post on X by human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, Kenneth had sold a water tank in the family house to solve some family problems, an act that allegedly prompted his younger brother to apprehend him with the help of a vigilante group.

The post noted that Kenneth experienced hours of torture, repeatedly begging his assailants, “What did I do?” while they accused him of theft. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries during the ordeal.

The video sighted by our correspondent shows Kenneth, who is being physically assaulted by two individuals who are welding sticks. The victim, who was only wearing shorts and no shirt, had his hands tied behind his back while he cried out in pain.

It captured about five men present at the scene, with two of them repeatedly beating the restrained man. One of the killers was wearing a Manchester United jersey during the attack.

Gwamnishu's post reads, I wish to alert Governor Chukwuma Soludo and Anambra State Police Command to act accordingly and make sure those involved in the crime don’t go unpunished .

His wife and children are currently exposed to fear and intimidation, as the perpetrators have promised to deal with them if they persist in seeking justice for the death of Mr. Kenneth.
