As against the order of Ikirun High Court, the Osun state Government, has installed the newly appointed Aree of Iree, Boripe Local Government Area, Prince Raphael Oluponle Ademola.
Recall that Lagos Local News had reported that Justice I.O. Adeleke, has given order on Tuesday on the installation of the king that the State governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Adeleke Adebayo to stop the action of the installation of the king following the interim Injunction filed by kingmakers.
Despite the suit against his appointment, the government declared the appointment of Prince Ademola as the Aree of Iree land.
Justice Adeleke in his ruling was displeased by action of the state government towards the suit filed against the appointment of the chiefs and conducted election for the new monarch.
Pending the hearing and determination of the motion, Justice Adeleke earlier ordered the defendants to stop the installation of the king.
The State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Adebayo Adeleke representing the state government on Wednesday conducted the Installation ceremony for the King-elect in the Aree palace in Iree.
It was gathered that the commissioner and other dignitaries celebrated the installation in the Palace while the new king is on the throne
Meanwhile, the state government has not filed a stay of execution since the court order.
