According to reports from Daily Trust, unidentified gunmen launched an assault on the state police headquarters in Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area, in the early hours of Wednesday, plunging the residents of Yola into a state of panic. A source cited by the newspaper claimed that the assailants were allegedly military personnel seeking retribution for the purported killing of one of their own by the police.

In response to this disturbing incident, the Commissioner of Police has issued a decisive directive for an immediate investigation into the matter, with the overarching goal of restoring peace and ensuring justice.
