Access Bank CEO, Wife, Son Reportedly Die in Helicopter Crash

No survivors have been seen as of the time of filing this report.

CEO, Access Bank PLC, Herbert Onyewumbu Wigwe, his wife, and his son are said to be among the passengers in a helicopter that crashed in the US late Friday local time, (early Saturday Nigerian time).

According to reports by newsmen, about six people were in the helicopter that crashed near the California-Nevada border.

Meanwhile, No survivors have been seen as of the time of filing this report.

Access Bank teams have yet to confirm Herbert Wigwe’s death as of the time of this report.

Some sources from the bank, who pleaded to be anonymous, informed journalists that Wigwe and his wife and son were among the occupants of  the helicopter.

It was gathered that the Eurocopter EC130 helicopter crashed at 10 p.m local time near Nipton, Calif, an unincorporated community approximately 60 miles south of Las Vegas in eastern San Bernardino County, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The National Transportation Safety Board (N.T.S.B.) and Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) are investigating the crash. Representatives from the N.T.S.B. arrived the scene on Saturday.
