The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Budget and National Planning, Mr. Nebeolisa Anako, made this assertion during a visit by the German Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development, Ms. Svenja Schulze, to the ministry.

Anako stated, "This visit provides an opportunity for us to discuss and exchange views on future bilateral cooperation and create a platform for a coordinated approach to enhance economic collaboration between our two nations."

He expressed his satisfaction with the alignment of priority areas supported by the German government with Nigeria's National Development Plan (NDP 2021-2025). These priority areas encompass sustainable economic development, training and employment, transformation of agric-food systems, climate and energy, peace building, and conflict prevention.

Anako also highlighted that the NDP incorporates policy actions that are strategically designed to unlock the potential of all sectors of Nigeria's economy, thus fostering sustainable, comprehensive, and inclusive national development.

"The NDP also serves as a guiding framework for all our development partners," he emphasized.

In response, Schulze lauded the Nigerian government for its role in nurturing the bilateral relationship with Germany and assured of her country's continuous support across various potential areas.
