African Countries Provide Relief to the Earthquake Zone

Some African countries have provided relief items to the affected earthquake countries.

African Union nations like Algeria, Egypt, and Tunisia has given supplies and technical support to the Turkish-Syrian border.

Kenya pledged to send aid and requested volunteer services from licenced medical professionals.

Gift of the Givers, the largest non-governmental humanitarian organisation in Africa, has also sent teams of rescue professionals and supplies to aid in the massive worldwide rescue operation.

The 7.8 magnitude earthquake claimed the lives of more than 11,000 people in southern Turkey and northern Syria; according to officials, 8,574 people died in Turkey and 2,660 people died in Syria.
