Vice Pesident Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has, on Tuesday April 25, commissioned a one-million-dollar catheterization laboratory at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

According to Dr. Bawumia, this is the most sophisticated cath lab in the nation. Its Big Detector, Dyna CT, Roadmap software, and 3D workstation are all crucial for producing accurate and successful minimally invasive procedures.

He said that the Bank of Ghana (BoG) purchased and paid for the equipment in response to his request to the Governor that the Bank take into account financing the purchase of such crucial medical equipment.

The BoG's decision to support the initiative was a result of their commitment to CSR
