Sam Smith Accused Of Satanism With Performance At 2023 Grammys

Conservatives have expressed criticism of British singer Sam Smith's performance with Kim Petras on a hell-themed stage, claiming that it encouraged satanism and evilness and that the musician shoved his sexuality in their faces.

Sam Smith, who describes himself as non-binary genderqueer, demonstrated his new identity in a pornographic performance.

The duo created history as the first non-binary and transgender performers to participate and win a Grammy Award (Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category), despite startling many with their "Unholy" performance.

Last weekend, Sam Smith, whose pronoun is they, appeared on stage as a fiery-dressed Satan in tight red leather pants, a loose-fitting shirt, a horned hat and heeled boots.

Unholy by Sam Smith and German singer Kim Petras, from Sam Smith's fourth studio, was released on September 22, 2022, and is rumored to be inspired by the true story of a Catholic priest accused of sexual abuse of a minor.

The Grammy stage was filled with cages and whips and a host of performers from the LGBT community to match the lyrics of the song.

In 2019, Sam Smith admitted that he has always been at war with himself concerning his sexuality. “I’ve always had a little bit of a war going on within my body and my mind. I do think like a woman sometimes, in my head,” he told GayTimes.
