Social media blew up with discussion about the situation, and Omoni Oboli took to her Instagram handle to clear the air. In a social media post, the filmmaker disclosed that her film, A Different Type of Love, had been removed from YouTube after getting feedback about its striking resemblance to another movie.

Commenting further, Omoni noted that she had engaged the services of a scriptwriter for the movie, and probes are underway to know what happened. She said, “Dear besties, "We're aware you're probably thinking of why the latest movie is not available anymore on the channel.

"We've been told that our recent film looks very similar to another movie on YouTube. As a channel that values originality, we’ve decided to remove the movie while we look into the situation."

"We’ve called on the scriptwriter to know exactly what happened and are collaborating with our legal team to resolve this. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Always remember that I love you ❤️". She wrote.
