The Labour Party's presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who is presently in court about the 2023 presidential election, has been slammed by well-known comedian Bowoto Tanimola, also known as Akpororo.

"Peter Obi still they go court, abi?" Akpororo asked his audience during a recent performance.

"Yes," the throng answered.

“He go still dey go court for eight years”, Akpororo added.

Many people found his joke offensive, especially Peter Obi's followers, who criticized the comedian on social media after the video went viral on Tuesday.

Recall that Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress was proclaimed the winner of the presidential election on February 25 by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. Peter Obi and the Labour Party have filed lawsuits to contest this outcome.

The Presidential Election Petition Court is still debating the issue.
