Nigerian powerhouse Burna Boy, a Grammy winner, is slated to collaborate with Colombian sensation Shakira on “Dai Dai", the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

This was announced from the iconic Maracanã Stadium ahead of the song’s scheduled release on May 14.

A sneak peek posted on the official FIFA World Cup accounts suggests the tournament’s anthem will be a high-energy track, likely featuring a blend of Burna Boy’s Afrobeats and Shakira’s signature Latin pop influences.

“From Maracanã Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai', the FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready!” the announcement read.

The partnership has already sparked excitement worldwide, particularly as Shakira previously delivered iconic FIFA World Cup songs like Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) and La La La (Brazil 2014).

The development further strengthens Burna Boy’s growing international influence, as the Afrobeats sensation continues to land major global partnerships and performances on some of the world’s biggest stages.

The United States, Canada, and Mexico will collaboratively host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
