Afrobeats Artiste, Kelvynboy and his management team have disclosed that they have no trust in any type of Awards scheme both locally and internationally.

The "Down Flat" singer confirmed that he did not trust organizers as expressed by a member of his team in response to a question from radio host Abeiku Sanatana about whether he would win the Most Popular Song award at the upcoming awards.

“I don’t know and to be honest we don’t trust them, even the Grammy awards, people have issues with it,” he pointed out.

Kelvynboy who is a former winner of the Unsung Artiste category at the VGMA’s explained that all the other competitors were extremely good and losing out to any of them will hurt really bad.

“If I don’t win it, I’ll be hurt but there are other equally popular songs on there and I deserve it too if I pick up the award. When I looked at the nomination, I saw other very good artiste there so it’s cool whichever way,” he said

The 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, which is run by Charterhouse, has nominated Kelvyn Boy for Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste and Most Popular Single of the Year.
