The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced the release of the results for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates on Monday, August 12, 2024 via a post on the social media platform X.

In the post, WAEC stated, “The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for school candidates, 2024 that the result has officially been released today.”

Candidates can check their results through two methods: SMS and the WAEC website.

Checking Results via SMS

To access results via SMS, candidates should follow these steps:

1. On your mobile device, type: WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear

2. Send the message to 32327.

3. An instant reply containing your WAEC statement of result will be sent to you.

It is important to note that this SMS service is available only for MTN, Glo, and Airtel subscribers. If you do not receive your result, you may need to repeat the process, and SMS charges will apply.

Checking Results via the Website

Candidates can also check their results online by visiting www.waecdirect.org. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Log in to the WAEC Result Checker website.

2. Enter your Examination Number.

3. Select the Examination Type (e.g., May/June).

4. Choose the Exam Year (e.g., 2024).

5. Click on "Check Result."

A WAEC scratch card is required to access the results online.
