In order to return hundreds of their citizens to their home countries, Ivory Coast and Guinea are sending specially chartered aircraft to Tunisia.
Authorities in Conakry and Yamoussoukro both expressed concern about the incendiary remarks made by the Tunisian President Kais Saied last week.
According to Mr. Saied, illegal immigration was changing the "demographics" of the nation and those who were there unlawfully would not be permitted to stay.
He charged them with being responsible for Tunisia's escalating criminality.
He also gave the security forces in Tunisia the order to take immediate action against illegal immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa.
The embassies of Guinea and Ivory Coast have taken in dozens of refugees. Some claim to have experienced physical attack.
