Sen. Goje Expelled from APC over Alleged Anti Party Activities

According to them, Goje was also charged with secretly joining the PDP, which is what caused his name and picture to appear on the ballots for the PDP senatorial primary election in 2022.

Sen. Danjuma Goje has been dismissed from the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to alleged anti-party behavior during the general elections of 2023.

Recall that on March 22 a five-person committee was established by Mr. Tanimu Abdullahi, Chairman of the APC Kashere Ward in the Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State, to look into the alleged anti-party activities leveled against Goje.

In a briefing to reporters on Tuesday in Kashere, Abdullahi stated that the senator's expulsion was based on the findings of the committee's inquiry.

The committee invited Goje to present his case in a spirit of fair hearing, the chairman claimed, but the senator declined to accept their request.

He claimed that Goje's refusal to accept the invitation issued to him by the committee was behavior unbecoming of a devoted party veteran.

The ward chairman outlined how the five-person committee thoroughly discussed the accusations made against the senator and provided a list of some of them, including Goje's alleged absence from all APC campaigns in the state.

“Goje also hobnobbed with opposition parties and their candidates with the intent to undermine the success of the APC in Gombe State and Nigeria in general.

“He openly supported opposition party candidates by hosting the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) governorship candidate, Mr Khamisu Mailantarki and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Akko House of Representatives candidate, Mrs Aishatu Ahmed, in his residence.

“He offered them his support against the interest of his party the APC,” said Abdullahi.

Despite the fact that Goje had benefited from the APC's program, he said it was regrettable that he had participated in activities meant to harm the party's chances of winning the general election.

According to Abdullahi, the 27 executive members of the APC in Kashere Ward decided to eject the senator in accordance with the party's rules after carefully considering all of the claims.

The chairman emphasized that Goje's frequent anti-party actions violated Article 21, Section A, Subsections II, III, VI, and VII of the APC Constitution.
