The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that gunmen reportedly kidnapped three people from a farming village in Iwo Town, Iwo Local Government Area of Osun.
NAN also learned that the victims were kidnapped at night from their farm in the Ologun Area of Iwo.
The victims were identified as Hamzat Ibrahim, Deere Ibrahim, and an additional man whose name is still unknown.
This was confirmed by SP Yemisi Opalola, the Osun Police Public Relations Officer, who also stated that rescue efforts were underway.
According to Opalola, one Hamidat Ibraheem notified the Iwo Police Division of the situation.
She stated that the forest was being searched for the victims by police, hunters, and other local security personnel.
According to NAN, the new abduction occurred on the same day that the remaining two members of the four Osun Baptist Conference members who were abducted were released upon payment of a ransom of N10 million.
On January 11, while returning from their farm, two Baptist Conference members were kidnapped at Ileogbo, Osun's Ayedaade Local Government Area.
On January 16, the kidnappers detained two more people when they went to drop the N6 million ransom demanded for the release of the earlier victims in Egbe (Kogi State).
After an additional N4 million was paid for their release, the two kidnapped in Kogi were released on Friday.
