The Federal Government announced that it generated approximately N2.4 billion in 2024 from marriage contracts through its marriage registry at the Ministry of Interior.

This information was revealed by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, during a media interaction in Abuja on Tuesday.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo also highlighted that the ministry earned over N3.2 billion from expatriate quota applications, contributing to an overall revenue increase of 150 percent compared to previous figures.
