The Edo State Government has taken custody of a four-year-old girl allegedly forced by her father to create inappropriate online content.

Health Commissioner Samuel Alli announced the rescue on X (formally Twitter), stating that the child will receive a full medical evaluation and care.

"We are committed to the safety and well-being of our children," Alli said in a social media post with photos of the girl. "Stay tuned for updates on her welfare."

The development follows the Nigeria Police Force’s condemnation of the act and apprehension of the child’s father in connection with the incident.
