Samsung, a global powerhouse in electronics and technology, has launched its cutting-edge 2024 lineup of AI-powered televisions in Nigeria, marking a significant landmark in home entertainment technology.

The unveiling event, called “Unbox and Discover,” was held in Lagos, where Samsung showed off its latest innovations, like the Neo QLED 8K and 4K TVs, together with the latest OLED models.

Moses Oyebade, who is the Head of Samsung's retail stores in West Africa, affirmed that the new Samsung Neo QLED 8K TV is amazing and changes how people watch TV. He said it uses artificial intelligence to redefine visual experiences.

Oyebade said that the Samsung AI TV is really impressive in three ways: it makes pictures look better using artificial intelligence, it has amazing sound that's also powered by artificial intelligence, and it has many features that are optimised using artificial intelligence. It uses the NQ-AI Gen 3 processor, which is very powerful and has 512 neural networks and double the speed of its predecessor; this model delivers unmatched picture clarity and superior sound quality.

Samsung, in collaboration with Dolby Atmos, created a more immersive sound experience for viewers. This technology makes the audio feel more real and brings the action to life. Doighe Abigail, a trainer for Samsung's consumer electronics, emphasised how this collaboration improves the overall viewing experience.

Abigail said that Dolby Atmos makes the sound on Samsung's AI TV much more realistic. She said it is like being there when you watch a scene with rain. You will feel like it is raining in your living room. The sound moves around to match what is happening on the screen, making it feel very real and better than anything else.
