Google Improves Gemini with Advanced features
Google has updated Gemini with new features, including customisable AI experts called 'Gems' and better image generation capabilities powered by the latest Imagen 3 model.
This was revealed in a press release by Dave Citro, Senior Director of Product Management for Gemini Experiences.
He disclosed that the new “Gems” components would allow Gemini to develop business and enterprise subscribers to create individualised AI assistants fitted to specific needs and goals.
Citron said that individuals can personalise their Gems by writing directives, giving them a usual name, and communicating with them to get support on various tasks, ranging from coding support to career guidance.
He stressed that those custom AI experts could assist customers in brainstorming ideas, breaking down difficult topics, and even handling repetitive tasks productively.
To make the features easy to use, Google will provide pre-made gems made for specific tasks like learning coaches, writing editors, and career guides.
Citron affirmed that those AI supports were made to roll out on desktop and mobile devices for customers in more than 150 countries.
Additionally, to the introduction of Gems, Citron emphasised the introduction of Imagen 3, the latest version of Gemini’s image generation model, which is accessible to all users.
He opined that Imagen 3 presented meaningful improvements in image quality and could generate visuals in different styles, including oil paintings, photorealistic landscapes, and claymation.
“We have improved our image creative image generation capabilities, and soon we'll add our newest image generation model, Imagen 3, to Gemini Apps and make it available for everyone in all languages,” he asserted.
Citron hinted that Gemini Develop, Business, and Enterprise customers would soon gain access to image generation for people, starting in English.
These new features will be available to everyone all over the world soon, with more improvements coming in the future, Citron concluded.
