Apple Sets iPhone 16 Event for September 9
Apple Inc has announced that the iPhone 16 event will be held on September 9th. The news was made public on X (formally Twitter) by Greg Joswiak, Apple's marketing chief.
This is contrary to the words of Mark Gurman, a respected Bloomberg leaker and Apple analyst, who predicted that the iPhone 16 event would be on September 10th.
Joswiak, in a post via his X handle said, “We're glowing with excitement! Monday, September 9. #AppleEvent.”
According to reports, credible leaks and rumours suggest that the entry-level iPhone 16 models (e.g., iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus) will feature a redesigned camera, a dedicated camera button, new colourways, and other enhancements.
The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to have a better ultrawide sensor, enhanced Night Mode, a new "Desert Titanium" colour option, and other features, in addition to the camera button that will be available on the less expensive iPhone 16 models.
Gurman predicts that in addition to the iPhone 16, Apple will also release the Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple AirPods 4.
The glowing Apple icon on the event invite suggests that we are anticipating some new information regarding Apple Intelligence as well.
