Real Madrid has become the first football club in history to generate more than €1 billion ($1.085 billion) in revenue in a single season, according to the club's annual report for the 2023-24 season.
The club's revenue, excluding player transfers, reached an all-time high of €1.073 billion ($1.16 billion), a 27% increase over the previous year despite ongoing stadium renovations.
Madrid also recorded a profit of €16 million ($17.3 million) for the fiscal year, with a net value of €574 million ($623 million) and net debt of only €8 million ($8.6 million) as of June 30, 2024.
The team claimed to be the first football club to generate more than €1 billion in revenue.
In the previous season, Madrid achieved significant success on the pitch, earning the Champions League title, their sixth in a decade, along with La Liga and the Super Cop.
Madrid said they intend to expand on their commercial success.
The upcoming season will witness the addition of Kylian Mbappe to the squad, who signed on a free transfer when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired earlier this year.
