In light of speculation that Chelsea has made a bid for PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, Chelsea coach Mauricio Pochettino has stated that he is open to the purchase of another forward.
The 24-year-old's current contract has one year remaining, and he is prepared to continue with the team for the upcoming campaign before leaving on a free transfer after it expires.
Earlier, PSG reportedly accepted a $300 million offer from Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia, but Mbappe is not interested in joining the Saudi Pro League.
The Blues manager gave indications about the acquisition of a new forward and the requirement for reinforcements after his team's 2-0 victory over nearby Fulham on Sunday.
“Today I think we are happy with the performance and they can complement each other really well. Yes, of course, maybe we can add some different profile or different player who can help us, of course we are open.”
A move for Mbappe has apparently been discussed by Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, with the Blues prepared to offer players and money in exchange for the Frenchman.
