Xavi Hernandez, the manager of Barcelona, has stated that his team is "one of the worst in Europe" when it comes to converting opportunities.
Xavi was reacting to Valencia's 1-1 draw in LaLiga on Saturday.
Barca were seeking to bounce back at the Mestalla after losing their previous two games in all categories against Antwerp in the Champions League and Girona in the league.
Barca had 16 shots against Valencia, eight of which were on goal, while Valencia had four on 11 attempts.
Xavi's team has made 58 attempts in their last three games across all competitions, 22 of which have been on target and have produced five goals.
OptaJose reports that among the top five leagues in Europe, Barcelona currently has the most significant opportunities missed (41).
“This match pretty much summarises the season for us. We train finishing but it depends on the players’ confidence.
“We have to be one of the teams with the worst finishing in Europe. I am very frustrated today,” Xavi said.
