The Azumah Nelson Youth Resource Center in Kaneshie, has degenerated into a wild bush that has now become a breeding ground for reptiles.
The construction of the project, which started in 2018 and was set to be completed in just nine months, has been abandoned since October 2020.
The work project is estimated to be 90% complete, according to the Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif. However, failure to disburse monies to the contractor has resulted in its abandonment which is now boarded by walls of weeds.
The project is being undertaken by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and funded by the National Youth Authority.
