Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State revealed on Tuesday that President Bola Tinubu has interfered in the disagreement between FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara.

Mohammed revealed that Tinubu helped to defuse political tensions in Rivers State.

He disclosed this while briefing State House Correspondents during a meeting of the National Police Council presided over by Tinubu at the Presidential Villa's Council Chambers in Abuja.

Mohammed stated that Tinubu is in talks with Wike and Fubara, and that his involvement appears to be bringing about peace.

According to Mohammed: “President Tinubu has shown that he is President for PDP and APC. We are going to work with him.”

On Tuesday morning, Fubara and Wike met at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The pair allegedly split up less than six months after the succession.

Wike's supporters in the Rivers House of Assembly sought to impeach Fubara, but the governor refused.
