Soludo Admits Refusal to Build Road Based on Political Ties

The Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has revealed that he initially refused to build a road in Okpoko community in Ogbaru Local Government Area of the state due to the opposition party affiliation of Hon. Noble Igwe. the House of Representatives member representing the area.

Soludo, at the inauguration of 12 km of roads in the Okpoko area on Monday, shared that he ignored the grievances of a House member concerning the deteriorated state of Nwokedi Street because the member belonged to the opposition.

He further explained that during a walk, an individual directed him to a road that Hon. Igwe had informed him about. Being in opposition, he was unable to take any action on the road at that moment.

He continued, "Today, Noble Igwe is in our party, and he is a mainstream member, so we have listened to him.

Soludo called on the people to back his administration, highlighting that his presence in governance is driven by areas like Okpoko. He pledged to revamp Okpoko and ensure that the residents feel included.
