Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expressed his commitment to support Edo State's newly elected Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, after the latter's victory in the recent gubernatorial election.

During a courtesy visit at Lagos House, Marina, on Saturday, Sanwo-Olu emphasized that Lagos would provide essential developmental templates and ideas to facilitate Okpebholo's governance.

Sanwo-Olu conveyed his excitement about Okpebholo's election, stating, "We are happy that you have used Lagos as the starting point to seek blessings and acknowledge the modest support we provided."

He congratulated Okpebholo on his win, reinforcing that it represents a collective achievement for the people of Edo State. The governor urged all Edo citizens and political contestants to unite in support of Okpebholo to foster development in the state.

He assured Okpebholo that Lagos would extend its resources and expertise to aid in his administration's success. "We will make all our agencies available to you," he stated, highlighting the collaborative spirit between the two states.

Sanwo-Olu further encouraged Edo residents to come together and support their new governor for the betterment of their community.

In response, Senator Okpebholo expressed gratitude for Sanwo-Olu's support during his campaign and requested ongoing assistance as he prepares to take office.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration among all political factions in Edo State to ensure progress and transformation.
