President Muhammadu Buhari and members of the ruling All Progressives Congress are engaged in a "family war," according to former senator and 8th National Assembly representative Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District (APC).

The former lawmaker observed that party leaders do not support the President's insistence on establishing a legacy for credible elections that are free, fair, and without the influence of money.

Sani revealed via his official Twitter handle @ShehuSani that the party leaders have the view that without massive financial inducement, the president's accomplishments alone can not help them win elections.

"President Buhari wants to leave behind a legacy where money doesn’t influence who becomes Nigeria’s next president.

The Ruling party leaders thinks that his record in Office can’t deliver them to victory without the massive use of money.

This is the basis of their family war."

Shehu Sani has been controversial mostly for his attacks on social media against the ruling progressives party.
