Eight people have been appointed as special advisers by President Bola Tinubu on Thursday, according to the State House Director of Information Abiodun Oladunjoye.
According to a statement released by Oladunjoye on Thursday, the President named Yau Darazo as his Special Adviser on Political and Intergovernmental Affairs and Dele Alake as his Special Adviser of Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy.
Additionally, Tinubu named Wale Edun as his Special Adviser on Monetary Policies and Nuhu Ribadu as his Special Adviser on Security.
The President named Zachaeus Adedeji as Special Adviser on Revenue and Olu Verheijen as Special Adviser on Energy.
Salma Anas, a special adviser for health, and John Uwajumogu, a special adviser for industry, trade, and investment, are the others.
The statement concluded that the appointments are effective immediately.
Following the Senate's confirmation of Tinubu's proposal for 20 Special Advisers on June 6, 2023, new appointments were made.
On June 2, 2023, Tinubu chose Ibrahim Hadejia, a former deputy governor of Jigawa State, as the chief of staff, replacing Femi Gbajabiamila, who was at the time the speaker of the house of representatives.
The President also appointed George Akume, the previous minister of special duties and former governor of Benue State, to the position of secretary to the government of the federation.
