The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State inaugurated a screening committee on Monday in preparation for the upcoming primary election ahead of the local government polls.
During the inauguration, the party's Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, urged the committee members to perform their duties with integrity, ensuring that the screening process adheres to the PDP constitution and the Electoral Act. He emphasized the importance of fairness and transparency, warning against any potential exploitation by opposition forces.
The 21-member committee is divided into three teams, each responsible for different aspects of the screening process. The teams are led by Barr. Dosu Babatunde, Dr. Mrs. Oderinde, and Dr. Wale Bolorunduro, respectively. The Chairman encouraged the committee to remain focused on ensuring a just and democratic process, which he believes is crucial for the stability and progress of Osun state.
