Ondo State Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, has rallied his fellow residents of Owo to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming gubernatorial election scheduled for November 16. Speaking at the inauguration of the Owo APC campaign committee over the weekend, Adelami urged his kinsmen and party members to remain steadfast in their commitment to re-electing the Aiyedatiwa-Adelami ticket.
Addressing the crowd of party faithful, Adelami emphasized the importance of the ongoing development efforts in Owo, asserting that a continuation of the current administration would secure further growth and transformation in the area. “What binds all of us together is the progress of Owo and the need to develop the kingdom and its people. To achieve this, the current administration must continue beyond 2024, and our votes will make a loud statement,” he stated, encouraging Owo residents to vote en-masse.
He further lauded party members for their unwavering support during the primary process, which saw Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa emerge as the APC’s candidate, stressing that their unity and dedication have set a strong foundation for victory. “We must remain united and focused on the Aiyedatiwa-Adelami project. A collective effort from every Owo resident will make a significant impact on the results,” Adelami added.
The deputy governor’s call for unity aligns with the APC's campaign strategy, which seeks to strengthen grassroots support across Ondo State. Party members in Owo have pledged their continued backing, motivated by promises of sustained infrastructural development and economic progress under the Aiyedatiwa-Adelami administration.
As the November 16 election date approaches, Adelami’s appeal underscores the pivotal role that Owo’s electorate could play in securing an APC victory, reinforcing the message that unity and continuity are essential for achieving the party’s development goals for Ondo State.
