Meek Mill, an American rapper who shot a music video at the presidency and drew a lot of criticism from Ghanaians, has apologised to the country's people.
The rapper posted a brief video on Instagram as a teaser for a new song, which caused a public outcry.
Meek Mill apologised to the people of Ghana in a tweet, writing, "... We will continue to work to establish a link between black people in America and Africans... I'm attempting more than just making a video, and you should soon see [more]. I also apologise to the President's office.
He claimed that the video was not intended to belittle Ghanaians in any way.
In the brief video, Meek Mill and his group can be seen dancing at the Jubilee House after being welcomed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo while rapping what appear to be filthy lyrics.
After performing on December 29 at the Afronation Concert, he paid a visit to the White House.
Later, the rapper and his group posed for photos in front of the podium, which is often used by the president during speeches to the country.
Additionally, Meek Mill's crew used a drone to get images of the Jubilee House forecourt.
However, several Ghanaians were outraged by the situation and rushed to social media to criticise Meek Mill and the Akufo-Addo administration.
The American star, has since deleted the controversial video.
