The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has launched the INEC Result Viewing Portal (IReV) to facilitate real-time access to election results directly from polling units.

The IReV platform was designed to promote transparency in the electoral process and mitigate the risks of vote tampering and manipulation, it also enables voters, observers, and other stakeholders to monitor elections as they unfold, providing access to images of election results from each polling unit.

Steps to Access INEC Results via the IReV Portal:

1. Visit the INEC Result Portal: Navigate to the official INEC result website at http://inecelectionresults.ng.

2. Account Access: If you have previously used the portal, log in with your existing credentials. For first-time users, click “Create New Account” and follow the instructions to register.

3. Complete Registration: Fill in all required details during the sign-up process.

4. Account Activation: An activation code will be sent to your email. Copy this code, paste it into the designated field on the portal, and click “Activate” to finalize your registration.

5. Access the Result Console: After logging in, you will be directed to the Result Console, which features tabs for various election categories including:

  • Presidential Election

  • Governorship Election

  • Senatorial Election

  • House of Representatives Election

  • State House of Assembly Election

  • Chairmanship Election

  • Councillor Election

6. Select Your Desired Election: Choose the specific election type you wish to view, then select the relevant state, Local Government Area (LGA), ward, and polling unit.

Results are uploaded as images of the ECr8 Form, detailing vote counts recorded by presiding officers.
