Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), is meeting with the party's 10 governors.

At the National Working Committee (NWC) Hall of the party National Secretariat, the meeting officially began at about 2:35 p.m.

Governors from the states of Plateau, Nasarawa, Niger, Kaduna, and Kogi were present during the meeting.

The conference was attended by the governors of Gombe, Yobe, Zamfara, Ekiti, and Jigawa states as well as the deputy governors of Imo and Katsina.

Adamu led Senator Aba Kiyari, the deputy national chairman for the north, Chief Emma Enekwu, the deputy national chairman for the south, and Otunba Iyiola Omisore, the national secretary, to the meeting.

Atiku Bagudu, the governor of Kebbi, and the PGF chairman, according to him, experienced some flight delays.

The governors' contributions to the ongoing APC presidential campaign were praised by Adamu.

He said, “I am happy with the response so far and it is my understanding that more of our members are still on their way coming.

“You will recall the recent developments that have necessitated the need for this invitation.

“We do not want to sit in judgment or anybody regarding where we are today in the country as it affects our great party.

“I thought the best thing to do is to get all those who are holding forte in their respective positions and who were elected on the platform of the party to get together and have some interaction so that we can have a better or a better understanding of what situation we are in.

“That is the essence of this invitation. And it is my pleasure to welcome you most sincerely to this interaction,” he said.
