The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) claims that on Thursday, the 26 elected members of the Osun House of Assembly will be presented with Certificates of Return.
In a statement he signed on Wednesday, Dr. Mutiu Agboke, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Osun INEC, stated that the event would take place at the Osun INEC office in Osogbo.
In accordance with Section 72 (1) of the Electoral Act 2022, the statement states that INEC must issue a certificate of return to each candidate who has been elected in accordance with the law within 14 days.
The presentation will take place in the INEC Osun State Office's media center in Osogbo.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the People's Democratic Party (PDP) won 25 of the 26 seats in the Osun House of Assembly, while the All Progressives Congress won a seat in the State House of Assembly election on March 18, 2023.
