Gov Umo Eno Applauds Akpabio's Commitment to Akwa Ibom Development

Governor Umo Eno has lauded the efforts of former governor and current President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, describing him as a "great leader" committed to the betterment of the state's populace.

During a recent gathering in Uyo, the state capital, Governor Eno commended Senator Akpabio's decision to collaborate across party lines for the progress of Akwa Ibom.

Eno emphasized the importance of bipartisan efforts in achieving meaningful development. He reiterated his commitment to working with all stakeholders, regardless of political affiliation, in order to deliver on his mandate of development.

He urged politicians in the state to prioritize governance over partisan interests, stressing that campaigns have ended and it is time to focus on delivering tangible benefits to the people.

Highlighting the importance of unity, Governor Eno emphasized, "No matter the party we belong to, the fact still remains that we are one Akwa Ibom State." He encouraged constructive criticism and discouraged politics of bitterness and character assassination.

Governor Eno also announced plans for the establishment of a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Depot at the Liberty Oil and Gas Free Zone in Ibeno, as well as at the Ibaka Gas hub, with a commitment to prioritize the employment of qualified Akwaibomites, irrespective of party affiliations.
