Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has urged the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and his party to follow the right channel of communication to invite him to their party.
This was revealed by the spokesperson to the Governor, Sanusi Bature, on Friday, while responding to the invitation by the national chairman of the APC.
Sanusi, who disclosed that they read of their rival’s invitation on the social media, said: “We believe as a former governor, he should know the right channel of communication if he truly wanted to pass information across to the governor.
“And as for whether the governor will join APC, I can confirm to you that my boss has not decided to leave his party, the NNPP for APC yet. Let me repeat, the governor has not decided to join APC for now.”
Speaking to the media soon after the party’s stakeholders meeting in the state on Thursday, Ganduje had invited the Kano State governor to defect from his party to join the APC.
He had assured the Governor and his followers that they would be well received, adding that an enabling environment had been created in the party for them to thrive politically as a family.
