

The government of Kwara State officially confirmed receiving a fresh consignment from the federal government consisting of 12,058 bags of grains, including sorghum, millet, and maize.
The breakdown of the 12,058 bags is; 7,042 of 50kg of maize, 2,916 of 50kg of millet, and 2,100 of 50kg of sorghum.
This was disclosed in a statement released on Thursday by Mrs. Bola Olukoju, the state's Commissioner of Communications.
Olukoju affirmed that the Kwara State Government also received 8,700 25kg bags of rice.
She stated that the distribution of grains in the state will shortly begin under the direction of Senator Abubakar Kyari, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, following the guidelines provided by the federal government.
The Commissioner said, the Kwara people have received continuous assistance from the state administration to deal with the inconveniences that followed the removal of fuel subsidy.
