Muhammed Idris, the minister of information and national orientation, has urged all people to work together to reap the benefits of democracy. He asserted that democracy is useless if it doesn't foster growth, development, and social harmony.

This was said by Idriss on Thursday during a courtesy visit from the APC North-Central Zone.

“It was for this reason that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is constantly promoting the dual concepts of unity and economic prosperity to our people; as the chief image maker of Nigeria, that is the message I am also disseminating.” Idris said this, noting the need for Nigerians to conduct some soul-searching.

“National re-orientation is at the heart of the change and hope that we all desire for this country; each one of us has the responsibility to recover his steps and do the right thing,” he said, calling on the party members to unite and engage more so that they can achieve great things for the country.

Idris added that the party should mobilize citizens toward a single understanding and shared vision of what our nation should be, and that this could be done by utilizing the party apparatus at all levels.

Meanwhile, the Minister was congratulated on his well-deserved appointment by Bawa Rijau, national vice chairman of the APC North Central, on behalf of the APC National Working Committee and Zonal Executives.

Rijau commends President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for choosing one of their own to fill this crucial post, stressing that this shows how much the president valued the part Alhaji Idris played throughout the campaign.
