Isaac Adongo is a Ghanaian politician, a member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing the Bolgatanga Central Constituency in the Upper East Region of the National Democratic Congress.
He says Ghanaians need answers to our question. He said people cannot ruin us and when we tell them to resign they say no. He said the Finance Minister should resign. We cannot cry because of Ofori Atta. He said Government should stop taking money from the vulnerable and using the Bible for a cover up.
“Mr. Speaker ,I feel very sad this morning, not just because we’ve compelled our senior citizens who have served our country faithfully and have worked so hard to accumulate their pensions. But when we are in crisis the vulnerable are the ones we prioritize. They are not the ones who take their monies but unfortunately today they are the ones we are taking monies from and I don’t know who we are going to use those monies to serve.
Mr. Speaker, Are we still a proud nation? Are we suddenly not a proud nation that we are all over the place begging people we’ve borrowed money from and telling them we can’t pay them, and there no consequences for it . Mr. Speaker next time somebody serves in public office and tells you I don’t want to be paid you should be very careful. You should be extremely careful because these things are expensive and it is an example of what we are experiencing today.
If managing an economy is all about collecting people’s monies and loans celebrating with Kenkey and fish and in the end run the economy into a dish and refuse to pay them and use that to create the economic stability, then we must as well sell this country to an Artificial Intelligence who can manage this economy for us.”
