Hajia Maryam Suleiman, a women leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has criticized Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State. She accused him of being unfaithful to the former governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, since he became the governor, and described him as ungrateful.

In a video that is circulating online and was seen in Abuja on Monday, Hajia Suleiman criticized Uba Sani, recalling how in 2019, the former governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, traveled almost 500 times to lobby the party chieftains at the APC headquarters in Abuja. He did this to ensure that Senator Shehu Sani was replaced with Uba to represent Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly.

Mrs. Suleiman, who was better known as Mai Rusau, until her suspension and was the woman leader of Badarawa/Mailali Ward of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Kaduna State, affirmed that El-Rufai fought hard and took risks to remove Senator Sani out of the way for him who was considered faithful at the time. However, her agitation led to her suspension from the party.

On Monday, the Badarawa/Mailali Ward APC Executive Committee suspended Hajiya Maryam Suleiman for gross misconduct. The suspension followed the release of a video clip on Facebook, WhatsApp, and Tiktok that defamed the character of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Uba Sani. The committee relied on Article 21.2(v) of the APC constitution, stating that the clip was against the party's constitution.
