Governor Bello expressed his administration's unwavering support for all security agencies, including vigilance groups, in their collective efforts to maintain a crime-free society in the state.
He also commended the outgoing Commander, Brig. -Gen. Isang Akpaumontia, and his counterparts from sister security agencies for their dedication in safeguarding the lives of the people of Kogi.
Assuring the new commander of the people's cooperation, the governor vowed to provide necessary intelligence and information to aid security personnel in their tasks.
Gen. Haruna Dasuki, in turn, lauded Governor Bello for his proactive measures in securing the state and acknowledged the administration's successes across various sectors.
The new commander pledged the Nigerian Army's unwavering commitment and support in ensuring a safe and secure environment, particularly in Kogi, under his jurisdiction. Emphasizing the significance of collaborative efforts with other security agencies, he highlighted the importance of maintaining the current atmosphere of peace.
Gen. Dasuki also acknowledged the achievements made by the Kogi State Government in partnership with security agencies to combat crimes and assured that he would build upon these successes as the Commander of the Army unit in the state.
