Mr. Tajudeen Lawal, the Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, stated that party members who participated in anti-party activities during the governorship and general elections in 2022 and 2023 would soon learn their fate.

This was made public by Lawal on Friday in Ilesa during a speech he gave at the homecoming reception and award ceremony for some Ijesaland political officeholders.

Dignitaries include: Adegboyega Oyetola, a former governor; Dr. Charles Akinola, the governor's former Chief of Staff; ex-Magistrate for Works, Remi Omowaiye; Timothy Owoeye, a former Speaker; and Lawrence Ayeni and Ajibola Famurewa, two former members of the House of Representatives.

The Osun party chairman urged members to remain steadfast and support the party, adding that the APC would regain power in the state by 2026 with hard work and dedication.

Lawal cited a statement made by the Osun APC Elders' Caucus in response to comments made by the former Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola, during his recent visit to the state. In that statement, the group said that the party's doors were open to members who were ready to sincerely apologize. Lawal said that the Osun APC Elders' Caucus' position was distinct from that of the APC leadership in the state.

He continued, "We are the party, and we know our members." During the most recent elections for governor and president, we are aware of who cast votes for Tinubu and Oyetola. The party will announce its position on the matter at the appropriate time.

"The party is still intact in Osun under Baba Bisi Akande and Gboyega Oyetola; we are not restructuring it." We will announce our plans for those who opposed the party when the time is right.
